The Honorary coaches Shri A. Srinivasa Rao and Shri. A. Muralidhara Rao besides serving in Tamil Nadu State Association, Tamil Nadu Players Welfare Association, Madras District Association, Table Tennis Players Parents Association in various capacities for the last 27 years of rich experience have produced hundreds of District, University, State and National Ranked players including several International players, Arjuna awardees, Olympians and the First Indian to win the Common Wealth Gold Medal, US Open and the recent Egypt Pro-Tour Champion Shri.  Achanta Sharath Kamal, current world ranking 39.  Currently few our players are in the Indian Team for the forth coming Commonwealth Champion ’10. 

Due to this immense performance and the experience we have developed over the past 25 years of organising  and promoting the game of Table Tennis, the Sports Development Authority of  Tamil Nadu came forward and set-up  the present Table Tennis Development Centre (SDAT-AKG TTDC) as a joint venture with Twenty Years Lease Agreement.
With the availability of Infrastructure and Technical Expertise, we have embarked upon bigger and ambitious projects which will help our Academy and Players to achieve more in the game of Table Tennis
